This was one of our first projects when we started as Phoenix Web Development and was originally written using a custom built content management system (CMS).
The initial brief from Nant Hall was to create an eye-catching website design and at the same time give the client an easy to use system for them to add events, newsletters and normal content.
Development of the bespoke content management system was shelved in favour of Joomla and the site was upgraded to the latest Joomla version 1.5 in March 2009.

Tideline books was formed in 1969 and specialises in books on field sports. Many of the books supplied are only available directly from Tideline.
Phoenix Web Development took existing data stored in Word documents and Excel spreadsheets and consolidated them into one dataset that could then be merged into the Zen-Cart shopping cart system the website uses.
The majority of their sales are now through the website. Tideline use the latest 1.3.8a version of Zen-Cart in conjunction with a secure server certificate (SSL) for secure online transactions.

Chris Newton approached Phoenix after a poor experience with another company offering web design and development services.
Phoenix helped Chris to source another domain since the previous company would not release his existing domain back to him. The site is built using our in-house content management system.
Chris required a payment method using Paypal to allow clients to pay online for readings. The payment was closely tied to a contact form that could only be used once payment was received.

E & G Websales Ltd. asked Phoenix Web Development to move their existing site hosting with another company to our servers and carry out some maintenance and upgrades to the existing Zen-Cart Open Source shopping cart system.
All the product data required re-formatting and the Zen-Cart bring up to date with the current stable release.
Their sister website Digital Scales Company was also moved to us from another hosting company and the product data is now shared between both websites.

The Heather and Hillforts Land Partnership approached Phoenix to re-design and develop a new website. Their requirements were to create an interactive website using the latest Web 2.0 methodologies and included;

The Design Reality team wanted to upgrade their existing site to add more interactivity and to exploit the latest web technologies in the process. We took their existing Wordpress Blog and converted it to the Joomla conten management system. An additional tagging system was required in order to allow blog articles to appear in multiple categories. Carousels were used in many places to maximise the content whilst at the same time, keeping the overall look and feel of the site consistent.
Design Reality also required that the site was to be hosted in-house and Phoenix Web Development installed and configured a WAMP solution to achieve this. Even though the site is not hosted on our own dedicated servers, we still monitor the site to ensure that it is live at all times as part of our aftersales support services.
Prestatyn High School's website was developed by Phoenix Web Development in 2008 as a completely new site since their existing site was built on outdated technology. We were tasked with creating something that both students and teachers would feel comfortable with. The site is a combination of the Joomla Content Management System and Moodle.
The Moodle part of the site gives all 1800+ students the ability to log in and receive their homework, coursework and supporting materials essential to their education.
Student representatives are given privileged access rights to allow them to post comments to a bulletin board in which they can voice the concerns and suggestions of the whole student body.
www.glanclwydisa.co.ukGlan Clwyd Isa was a complete new website for our client. Glan Clwyd Isa required the ability to advertise their cottages and accomodation services along with basic online booking facilities. The website site features multiple properties that the client can amend through the CMS. They can also state when a property is available through an easy to use administration interface.

The Lightworks in Rhyl, North Wales although not originally designed by Phoenix Web Development Ltd, was brought over to our servers a couple of years ago and has been supported by us since. The site has recently undergone a full upgrade to the Zen-Cart E-Commerce system in order to keep up to date with the latest security enhancements.
The Lightworks also take payments directly through their website and use an SSL certificate for complete peace of mind for their customers. All Phoenix Web Development's Geotrust SSL certificates guarantee 100% secure trading online.

Phoenix Web Development used a combination of a Zen-Cart E-Commerce website and a custom programmed javascript online stamp designer application to achieve an easy-to-use stamp designer. Customers can choose a particular read-made design and edit it to suit their own needs and then add it to their shopping basket. They are also able to design their own rubber stamp completely from scratch and even upload their own images to be included with the designs.
Phoenix Web Development also produced an online video tutorial to accompany the application
